A Long Overdue Introduction

Greetings, people of Earth! For years we have been here, waiting and watching. Observing the eccentricities and nuance of that which remains hidden under the surface.

And we’re making a blog about it.

Over the coming weeks and months, we hope to bring you a wide, eclectic range on interesting articles. We hope you’ll enjoy what we offer, and share our passion for the wonders of the world around us, both mundane and strange.

Roughly speaking, our offerings will fall into a handful of broad categories. We hope to have a little something for anyone with a sweet tooth for the weird and wonderful. In time we will separate the blog into sections for each category.

First off we will be covering news and happenings in the movie and television world, mostly focused on fantasy, science fiction, horror, and comic book genres. From the latest MCU news to trailers for up-and-coming standalone movies, and with a wide range of tv shows both past and present, we’ll always have a good recommendation for something to watch on a dark and stormy Netflix Night.

We hope to share reviews and analysis of episodes of our favorite shows as they come out. Spoiler-light (can’t always avoid the spoilers), of course. Movie reviews will of course be posted as well, and we look forward to engaging with you on what worked or didn’t work on the latest genre films.

We will also post articles on shows we particularly love, and convince you, through reasoned explanation, examples, and perhaps subtle telepathic influence, why you should give certain movies and TV series a chance.

We will also have some coverage of the gaming world. Caveat being it will mostly focus on games that fall within similar veins of the rest of the site, so fantasy, space, and other oddities. We’ve gamed since the days of Super Mario Bros. and Rygar. We don’t distinguish between fans of console and PC gaming, all are welcome here.

And finally, from the stranger corners of existence will come our final section, where we will cover news and happenings from the world of the paranormal, cryptozoology, and everything else lurking in the night that doesn’t fit into a textbook. We hope to investigate actual stories here in Washington State and the Pacific Northwest region, as well as cover interesting stories from further afield. We will seek out witnesses and experiencers to get their stories, as well as look into local sightings to see if there’s reasonable explanations for strange goings-on or if reality is really just a little weirder than we give it credit for. We will strive to be fair and impartial in regards to hearing out people who have seen or experience the strange and fantastical while also keeping our objectivity. First up will be a tour and background article on the haunted town of Port Gamble, Washington. So keep an eye out for that.

We will also post articles detailing the background and history of various allegedly supernatural phenomenon, with research and links provided for you to read and research on your own.

In closing, we hope you’ll join us and enjoy as we traverse through the mysteries and shadowy nooks and crannies of life, while arguing and discussing the finer points of the latest nerdy movie or video game.

The Vulpera

The latest playable race for the Horde are the vulpera. These diminutive fox people don’t have a history as a great empire or taking part in earth shattering events. They’ve mostly gone unnoticed by the great powers of Azeroth, until the Fourth War. The vulpera are one of the species that share the island of Zandalar with the Zandalari trolls. For generations, vulpera have been nomads and wanderers, living in the sandy wastes of Voldun. Here, much of their history has been dominated by the presence of another race, the snake-like sethrak. The sethrak kingdom split during a civil war, with the bulk of their people following the Faithless, the sethrak who turned their backs on their religions. Like many races, the sethrak had a loa, or wild god, that was their patron and creator. Well, 2020 is off to an...intense start, wouldn’t you agree? If, like me, you live in an area currently dealing with an outbreak of novel coronavirus or covid-19, you’re probably going to have a lot of time at home to kill.
